The Protouch Golf Academy organized the 1095 Chipping in the Basket skills competition as a part of their October Skills Competition series on Sunday, October 5. Young golfers competed in three different categories based on their levels of skills: Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced, and displayed their chipping skills.
Although a Bunker Shot skills competition was scheduled for the day, it had to be replaced by Chipping in the Basket due to inclement weather, yet the energy of the participants was not to be faltered.

Jayansh Lakhotia and Ayaansh Prasad: Winner and Runner Up, Intermediate Category.
In the Intermediate category, Jayansh Lakhotia won after two rounds, whilst Ayaansh Prasad finished second.
In the Advanced category, Neelarnab Ghosh and Mannan Agarwal tied for the first place. In the play-off that followed, Neelarnab topped his category. Mannan finished second.

Runner up in the Intermediate category, Ayaansh Prasad said, “The competition was very challenging today. At first, I thought I would not be able to score points, but then luckily, I did and I won the second prize”.
Winner in the Advanced category, Neelarnab Ghosh said, “The level of competition always increases, and today, though there were less people in my category, Mannan performed really well. I faced challenges. I need to work on my short game, that is what my coach always says, and today I felt the need of his comment”.
All the children went home with smiling faces, flaunting their medals, as they wait for the 1096 Chipping in the Ring Skills Competition, that is scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 12.
