16 players qualify for the second Matchplay round of the IGU Eastern India Amateur Golf Championship 2025.The first Matchplay round of the IGU Eastern India Amateur Golf Championship 2025 finished with 32 players playing in 16 matches.

In the first match, Ribhav Verma took a 5&4 win over Mithil M.G. In the second match, Jaiveer secured and last hole win over Sachin Chauhan. Pratham Choudhary won 3&1 over Ritesh in the third match. Gulfam Hussain won the fourth match over Kanav Chauhan on the final hole. In the fifth th match Hiransh Singh won 3&1 over Deepak Yadav seeing him through to tomorrow’s round. Bimal Singh Sardar won the sixth match over Devin Singh after a play-off over 3 rounds. Ayaan Gupta won the seventh match over Sukhman Singh on the final hole. In the eighth match Chaitnya Pandey won 4&3 over Aaron Sengar. Tanish R Gowda won 2&1 over Chandan Kumar Yadav in the ninth match. West Bengal golfers Suveer Kapoor and Samridh Sen went against eachother in tenth match with Suveer Kapoor winning the match 6&5. Om Paldhikar won on the last hole against Ram Singh Mann in the eleventh match. Vinamra Anand won the twelveth match 2&1 over Harman Sachdeva. Ranveer Mitroo won the thirteenth match 5&3 over Bhavesh Nirwan. In the fourteenth match Pritish Singh Karayat won 4&3 over Parth Raman Sood. Ayush Pannu won 6&5 over Arshvant Srivastava in the fifteenth match. Zorawar Randhawa won against Yash Chaudhary after 4 play-off rounds seeing him through to tomorrow’s round.

Tomorrow’s round will see 16 players will go against eachother in 8 matches followed by the best 8 players of round 2 battle it out in 4 quarter final matches.
