The largest junior golf competition in India is all set to be inaugurated in the Tollygunge Club, on October 15. More than 20 schools all over the country will take part in this prestigious event for establishing their golfing supremacy. Scheduled to be hosted on October 16 and 17, the Inter School Golf Competition will be played by over a hundred budding golfers from various parts of the country, with the aim to secure the title of the champion in the prestigious tournament.
The Inter School Golf Championship was organized for the first time in 2005, and since then, it continues to be one of the most important tours for junior golfers across the country to strive against the best of the lot. In association with the digital partner since 2005, My Kolkata, this event is known for being the nation’s premiere most inter school tournament and is a proud milestone for the upcoming golf talents of India who are budding with potentials.
The pristine greens of Tollygunge Club have experienced the rise and nourishment of many golf prodigies, illustrating great prowess in golf during the prestigious Inter School Golf Championship over the years since its beginning, with Viraj Madappa, Siddhi Kapoor, Udayjit Bhalotia, Tutul Ali and Sunit Chowrasia as prominent alumni.
