Protouch Golf Academy had organized a Junior Skills Competition (August) at the Driving Range, Tollygunge Club, that spanned from August 24 to August 25.

A chipping contest was hosted by Protouch on the debut day of the skills competition, in which many young golfers participated with great zeal. They showed ardent proficiency and passion while demonstrating their skills. Enthusiastic parents were seen applauding not only their own wards, but also for all the contestants at large.

The contestants were divided into three categories, according to the potential of the skills that the participants showed: Beginner, intermediary and advanced. Two rounds of chipping skills was displayed by the participants in all three of the categories. Aishani Addy won the chipping contest from the beginners’ category with six points, alongside Sahil Agarwal, who secured the position of the runner up with three points.

Debarghya Addy secured the first position in the intermediate category with twelve points. Shanaya Kajaria secured the position of the first runner up with six points in the second round of chipping through a tie break over Khushi Baid, another participant from the same category. Andrew Baid secured the first position fro the advanced category. While he scored seventeen points, Vaanya Rustagi ranked second with fifteen points.

The Protouch Golf Academy hosted a putting competition on August 25, the ultimate day of the August Junior Skill Competition. Just like the debut day, many junior golfers took part in the putting competition and displayed the finest of their skills. The putting contest was also divided into three categories based on the level of the skills of the participants, namely, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

The day ended with the outstanding victory of Kiaan Chakraborty, Shiven Kedia and Aranyak Chakraborty, fro the beginner, the intermediate and the advanced categories respectively. Sahil Agarwal, Anika Shah and Shreyansh Ghosh secured the position of the runners up from the beginner, the intermediate and the advanced categories respectively.

The day closed with enthusiastic junior golfers returning to their homes with a smile of contentment on their faces. Both the participants and their guardians were happy with the visible improvement in the game and strategies that the participants displayed during their chipping and putting episodes.
