Bimal Kumar Pandey and Shaurya Bhatnagar start off with leading scores of three over 73 and an 80 after the conclusion of the first round, on November 16 at MGPS Meghalaya State Golf Championship 2024 & Batkupar J. Synrem Memorial Open, an event co-sanctioned by IGU East Zone Junior & Amateur Feeder Tour. The event is being hosted at the Assam Rifles Environmental Club Park and Training Area at Laitkor, Shillong.

Incidentally, the MGPS Meghalaya State Golf Championship is affiliated to Meghalaya State Olympic Association, with which, the Batkupar J. Synrem Memorial Open has been collaborated in the memory of avid golfer and golf enthusiast of Shillong, Batkupar J. Synrem.

Pandey from Mid Amateur category has posted a leading score of 74 after the first round and incidentally also holds the second lead from the Amateur & Mid Amateur Combined category.

Subhra Mishra from Ladies category scored an 89 after the first round by playing a difficult first round in Shillong, the city of scenic landscapes and vibrant spirit and culture.

With a 77, Yograj Chettri scored the lead from the Senior category, whilst A.V Satyanarayana Raju scored a 90 to make a lead from the Super Senior category.

Posting an 81, Rehan Naidu scored the lead from Category B Boys.

Due to certain unavoidable security related issues, Category C Boys played only 12 holes on the first round. Daiwik Naidu from C Boys scored a 57, which is the leading scores from the aforementioned category.

With a 79, Aanya Singh from A&B Girls took a lead after the conclusion of the first round.

Scoring an 81, Sahej Singh made a lead from C Girls.

Participants from E Boys played 9 holes in the first round, and Aryan Bajaj posted a leading scores of 49 at the end of the first round.

Jonathan Iswphniaw and Jason Passah posted second and third leading scores of an 82 and 84 from Amateur category after the first round.

M. Ori and Abhishek Mitra secured second and third leading scores of a 76 and 77 from the Mid Amateur category by putting up a tough chase against Bimal Kumar Pandey.

With an 89 and 98, Sunita Devi and Pooja Goenka from Ladies secured the position of the second and third leads respectively.

Yograj Chettri was chased by Jeff Lyndem and Anol Kumar Lahon from Senior category who scored the second and third leads with 86 and 85 respectively.

Scoring a 104 and 99, V. Seshagiri Varaprasad and Kompella Suryanarayana Murty posed the second and third leading scores from Super Senior category.

Yogesh Chettri (77), Keisham Indrajit (84), and Anol Kumar Lahon (85) also posted the top three scores from the Senior & Super Senior Combined category.

Rehan Naidu (81) and Hredaan Raj Bihani (84) scored the second and third leads from the A&B Boys. Hredaan (84) and Manan Bagrecha (92) secured the second and third leading scores from B Boys.

Aibannangsan Iyngdoh (80) and Ahaan Sureka (76) from C Boys secured the second and third lead, after playing 12 holes in the first round.

Akansha Jaiswal posted a second leading score of 148 from A&B Girls Combined category.

Naina Dinodiya (102) is leading at the second position from C Girls.

Daniel Jordan Majaw (54) posted the second leading score from E Boys after playing 9 holes in the first round.

The championship is being sponsored by the Athletic Drive, a fitness and fashion infused apparel brand and Cherry Tree. The tour’s education partner is The Champ for Life Academy. The outdoor media partner is Balaji Ads. Bisleri has come in as the water partner for this season. Keventer, Eastern India’s largest FMCG company, is the IGU Feeder Tour sponsor and provided players with juices and milkshakes.
