The second edition of the Mahitosh Ray Amateur Open 2025, the 8th Leg of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour, organised in memory of the late Mr. Mahitosh Ray, concludes as last year’s winner, Anshul Mishra, taking the win once again at the Tollygunge Club.

Anshul Mishra: Winner of the Mahitosh Ray Memorial Amateur Open 2025 for two consecutive years.
Anshul Mishra won the tournament with a total of 142 (70-72). Mishra lifted the Mahitosh Ray Memorial Trophy after the first edition of the tournament, that was organized in 2024. This year, in the second edition of the tournament, he maintained his winning streak, and continues to top his category even in the WAGR round.
Overnight co-leader Saquib Hussain finished second with a score of 143 (70-73). Nikhil Pande (77-74) and Biswakrit Ghosh (77-74) finished jointly third with a total of 151.

Col. Shreekant Tiwari: Winner, Senior Category
In the Senior category, Col. Shreekant Tiwari won with a score of (79-79) 158.

Ravindra Kumar Singhania: Winner, Super Senior category and Runner Up, Senior category.
Finishing second in the Senior category, Ravindra Kumar Singhania scored 211(111-100), and also won the Super Senior category.
In the Ladies category, Anwesh Das finished first with a total of 149 (76-73). Rupa Roy finished second in the category with a total score of 210 (105-105).
This is a WAGR ranking event, the final round of which will be conducted tomorrow, on September 12
Mrs. Madhulekha Ray, wife of Lt. Mahitosh Ray, who also graced the prize distribution ceremony, said, “Both my son and my late husband have been avid golfers. Though I don’t play golf, it’s very nice to see these young children and golfers participating in this tournament, and it has made me very happy to see so many golfers being associated with the tournament held in memory of my late husband. What an honour to his golfing spirit!”
