Marcus Armitage finished the first round of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship 2025, which is being held at the Al Hamra Golf Club, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, from January 23 to January 26.

Starting off with a birdie, English golfer Marcus Armitage went on to hit several other birdies and finished with a lead score of a 9-under 63.

Swedish golfer Alexander Bjork, Spanish golfer Ivan Cantero and English golfer Jack Senior finished tied second at a first round total of 5-under 67, followed by the team of Irish golfer Padraig Harrington, Austrian golfer Bernd Weisberger, South African golfer Louis de Jager and Spanish golfer Alejandro Del Ray, who finished tied third with a first round score of 4-under 68.

Indian golfer Veer Ahlawat played a good round and finished tied nineteenth with a team of golfers that included Thobrjon Olesen, Romain Langasque, Manuel Elvira, Daniel Brown, Shaun Norris, and Freddy Schott, with a first round sore of 2-under 70.
