The BORBHAG Cup was instituted in 2021 with the objective of encouraging the game of Golf in Northeast India – a region that possesses significant potential for golf, particularly when integrated with the economic potential including that driven by tourism and industrial development. The region has a large golf infrastructure, and it is our endeavour to bring visibility to these courses, encouraging partnerships for the game of golf and beyond. Now in its fourth year, the effort has grown, seeing participation from Clubs across the country and being hosted each year at some of the leading courses of the North East region. We take pride in sharing that this tournament is one of the pioneers to have introduced the concept of participation of Caddie turn Pro’s in this region.
