The Protouch Golf Academy hosted bunker shot competition, which is the 1067 Skills Competition, on Sunday, March 9. Many junior golfers of the academy took part in the Bunker Shot Skills competition to show their sand-play skills.

The participants were divided into three categories, based on their age: Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced. The participants in the bunker shot competition played two rounds.

Rohin Moitra and Ruhi Nayar: Winner and Runner Up, Beginners’ Category.

Playing two rounds, Rohin Moitra won the Beginners’ category by scoring the highest score. Ruhi Nayar followed Rohin, finishing second in the Beginners’ category.

Yugaansh Agarwal, Jayansh Lakhotia and Neelarnab Ghosh: Winner,
Runner Up and Second Runner Up, Intermediate Category

The participants in the Intermediate category had a tough competition. Both the winner, and the runners up were decided through a play off. Yugaansh Agarwal won the Intermediate category. Yugaansh was chased by Jayansh Lakhotia, who finally finished second after the play off. There was a play off to decide the second runner up as well in which Neelarnab Ghosh and Aveer Malik faced off. Finally, Neelarnab stood out, securing the third position.

Debarghya Addy and Mannan Agarwal: Winner and Runner Up, Advanced Category

In the Advanced category, an exciting competition unfolded. Debarghya Addy won the Advanced category with the highest scores of the day, followed by Mannan Agarwal, who finished second.

The day ended with a prize distribution, where all the winners and runners up were felicitated with awards.

Debarghya Addy, winner of the Advanced category said, “I and my sister come to the Academy every Sunday, not just to attend golf lessons, but also to take part in the Skills Competition that take place every Sunday. Theses Skills Competition have improved my skills quite a lot”.

Ruhi Nayar, runner up in the Beginners’ category, said, “I am so excited to take part in these skills competition. I want to win something next Sunday”.

All the participants were seen eager to be participating in the 1068 Skills Competition, which is the Long Shot competition, that is going to be held on Sunday, March 16.
