Diksha Dagar, two times Olympian, conquered victory in the Hero Shot Skills Challenge, and pocketed a prize of $4000. The Hero Shot Skills Challenge is the qualifying part of the Hero Women’s Indian Open 2024 and was organized at the DLF Golf and Country Club.
Diksha routed out seven of her fellow competitors who assembled for the challenge that required the challengers to put the ball as close to the pin on the 18.
Diksha had an exciting quarter final face off with England’s Alice Hewson. Diksha crossed Alice’s impressive score of 300 points and qualified in the quarter final round.
In the semi-finals, when the competition was from 80 yards, Diksha along with her compatriot Tvesa Malik, defeated Nurio Iturrioz and Alice Hewson. Diksha and Tvesa secured victory in their semi-final match against Hewson and Iturrioz, increasing the distance to 100 yards. In the final, Dagar, a two-time Ladies European Tour winner, claimed victory over Malik at 110 yards.
