Dishan Ghosh wins the third leg of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour – the Bengal Junior Open 2025, co-sanctioned by Bengal Golf Association (BGA) and Bengal Olympic Association, that was being held at the prestigious Suryodaya Environmental Park and Training Area (SEPTA), Kolkata, from April 1 to April 2.
Dishan Ghosh: Winner, A&B Boys.
Dishan Ghosh, winner of the second leg of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour – Tolly Junior Classic 2025, scored a 78, and lay second after the first round of the Bengal Junior Open 2025. In the second round, he scored a 76, and tied for the win with overnight leader, Rayan Sao. Dishan won the exciting play off that followed, and won Category A&B Boys with a total score of 154.
Rayan Sao and Aranyak Chakraborty: First and Second Runner Up, A&B Boys
Winner and Runner Up, B Boys.
Overnight leader, Rayan Sao scored a difficult second round in which he scored a 78, and finished second in A&B Boys with a total score of 154. However, Rayan won Category B Boys. Aranyak Chakraborty improved his game in the second round, and a total score of 158, finished third in A&B Boys.
Aranyak finished second in Category B Boys, followed by Aarav Kajaria (84-89), who finished third with a total score of 173.
Ishikha Bansal: Winner, B Girls.
Overnight leader in B Girls, Ishikha Bansal (96-91) won her category with a total score of 187.
Armaan Bhoopal and Adhiraj Sawansukha: Winner and Runner Up, C Boys
Overnight leader in C Boys and the winner of C Boys in the second leg of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour – Tolly Junior Classic 2025, Armaan Bhoopal (99-91) won Category C Boys with a total score of 190. Adhiraj Sawansukha (110-95) improved his game in the second round, and rose the leaderboard to finish second at a total score of 205.
Wrichik Mukherjee and Netr Shah finished tied third in C Boys at a total score of 206.
Julinka Roy Chowdhury: Winner, C Girls.
Overnight leader, Julinka Roy Chowdhury (78-84) won Category C Girls with a total score of 162. Her strictest competitor, Nahida Parvin (79-87) finished second at a total score of 166, followed by Vaanyaa Rustagi (90-84), who finished third at a total score of 174.
Dhruv D. Patodia and Shaurish Sen: Winner and Runner Up, D Boys.
Competition in the D Boys was also neck-to-neck. Overnight leader, Dhurv D. Patodia (94-104) and Shaurish Sen (97-101) tied at a total score of 198. An exciting play-off followed, in which Dhurv D. Patodia won D Boys, and Shaurish Sen finished second, followed by Ujaan Chakraborty band Vir Nayar, who jointly finished third.
Vaasvi Himatsingka and Medhavi Ashwini Kaul: Winner and Runner Up, D Girls.
Vaasvi Himatsingka, overnight leader in D Girls, won the category, followed by Medhavi Ashwini Kaul, who finished second.
The participants of E Boys and E Girls played a total of 18 holes over the two consecutive rounds.
Kiaan Chakraborty and Ruhi Nayar: Winners of E boys and E Girls.
While Kiaan Chakraborty (44-49) won E Boys at a total score of 93, Ruhi Nayar (49-50) won E Girls at a total score of 99.
