Elvira Clinches Dubai Invitational Title as Hillier and McIlroy Fall Just ShortNacho Elvira (-10) held his nerve in the final round of the Dubai Invitational to clinch victory with a two-under 69, capping off a consistent week at Dubai Creek Resort. The Spaniard’s composed performance under pressure saw him fend off a late charge from Daniel Hillier (-9), whose six-under 65 was the lowest round of the day and nearly forced a playoff. Elvira’s steady play across all four rounds proved decisive, earning him the title and a share of the $2.75 million purse.

A cluster of players finished tied for third at eight-under, including Julien Guerrier (-8), Shane Lowry (-8), Rory McIlroy (-8), and David Puig (-8). McIlroy’s three-under final round was a strong finish, but not enough to erase the gap. Guerrier and Puig both made late birdies to climb the leaderboard, while Lowry remained in contention throughout the day with a solid two-under effort. Marcus Armitage (-6), Thorbjørn Olesen (-6), and Matt Wallace (-6) rounded out the top ten, each delivering respectable final rounds to secure strong finishes.

Further back, Dylan Frittelli (-5), Antoine Rozner (-5), and Thriston Lawrence (-5) tied for tenth, while Angel Ayora (-4) closed with a four-under round to finish solo 13th. With tight scoring and a dramatic final day, the Dubai Invitational delivered a thrilling conclusion, showcasing both veteran poise and emerging talent on the DP World Tour.
