Danish Verma
Danish Verma, the only junior golfer to qualify to the Semi Final Match Play of the IGU 124th Amateur Championship of India, remarked, “These few round were competitive. I hope tomorrow my putting goes well. I am playing with Harman Sachdeva tomorrow, so I need to put my best game tomorrow”.
Harman Sachdeva remarked, “It was a tricky day. Honestly, I was a bit tired after playing the Pre Quarter Finals, and then playing the Quarter Final back to back. It came down to the final hole, the 18th hole to get myself a spot for the semi finals and I am happy for that. I was hoping to finish it much earlier, but at the end of the day I got it done. I am playing with a young boy tomorrow, so let’s see how it goes. But definitely, I will try to make pars and win the match”.

Sidhant Nathan
Sidhant Nathan, who won against Deepak Yadav to qualify to the Semi Final Match Play, said, “Overall it was a tough start for me. It is on the second day that I turned my game and made the cut just on the line. The rounds have been competitive. My strategy has been not to be very aggressive on the course. I tried not to make any mistakes on my part, and tried to keep my opponent on pressure. Honestly, I dd not have high hopes from the Quarter Finals as I was extremely tired after the Pre Quarter Finals. I have played pretty steady golf over the few rounds, and I look forward to doing the same even tomorrow”.
The Semi-Final Match Play Round is scheduled to take place tomorrow, on December 20. The first Semi Final Match Play will take place between the 16th seeded Sukhman Singh of Uttar Pradesh and 28th seeded Sidhant Nathan of Karnataka, and the second Semi Final Match Play will take place between the 2nd seeded Danish Verma of Punjab and 3rd seeded Harman Sachdeva of Haryana.
