Tvesa Malik is a professional golfer from Haryana, India, known for her impressive career both as an amateur and a professional. Joining the Indian national team in 2014, Tvesa quickly made her mark by securing a victory on the domestic Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in 2015 while still an amateur. She turned professional in 2017 and recently celebrated a significant milestone by winning her first international title, the SuperSport Ladies Challenge in South Africa, in early 2024.

In an exclusive interview with Breathe Golf, Tvesa Malik delves into her personal style and fashion preferences, sharing insights that reflect her unique approach to fashion both on and off the golf course.

What’s your go-to outfit for a tournament? How do you decide your outfits? Are you superstitious about your tournament outfits?

   “I am very classic, I think with what I like to wear on the golf course, I am very basic. I love neutral colors, blue and white are my favorite. I think that’s like my ultimate Sunday outfit. So, if I have that in the clothes for the season then that’s my favorite to wear. (How do I decide them?) Just depends on the weather, I mean in Europe there are so many different types of weather conditions within the same week or the same day. So, just based on that, that plays a big factor. Yes, I am sometimes superstitious, I won an event in South Africa at the beginning of this year and I wore black and black for that one and so then I decided that I’m going to save that for my Sunday outfits because I won wearing that. So, if I play really well or if I finish well, particularly on the last day and I’m wearing something I love then I’ll save that and I will definitely think about it the next time, the next week.”

How does your style transition from the golf course to a night out?

  “It’s very different, I think my looks on and off the golf course, are very different but I mean I like to keep it really simple and I think I always prefer understated so, something a little bit more casual. I mean I’d love a black dress, like a more casual version of that. I like sneakers a lot, so even for a night out a lot of times I’ll you know try and dress it down with sneakers and I love all black for a night out as well. “

What are the must-have pieces of clothing in your wardrobe?

 “For me honestly, a white shirt is a very important part of my wardrobe. I wear it a lot, and I find it super functional and I love that.”

What are the top three items in your makeup bag that you can’t live without?

  “Blush definitely, I love a good blush. Lip balm for sure as well and maybe eyeliner.”

What is your go-to workout outfit?

    “Go to workout outfit would be tights, and a baggy top, also I love neutral colors in that as well so I love blue tights and a white top that’s my favorite.”

What are your travel essentials?

“My travel essentials would be a big set of headphones, over-ear headphones to block out all of the noise on the flights, my iPad which is always loaded with a bunch of shows, and my sneakers, I don’t go anywhere without them.”
