Guntas Kaur Sandhu from B Girls and Ojaswini Saraswat from C Girls triumphed in the IGU Maharashtra Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship, that was hosted from 5 November to 7 November at the Oxford Golf Resort, Pune.
Chandigarh’s Guntas Kaur Sandhu from Category B Girls shot a four under 67 on the first round. However, she was unable to maintain similar form on the second and third round, but managed to score a 75 and 73 respectively. Hitting 5 birdies in the third round helped her win the A&B Girls and Ladies Combined and A&B Girls Combined categories with a total score of 215. Guntas also secured win from her Category.
Rajasthan’s Ojaswini Saraswat won the C Girls with a 73, 69 and and 76 in the three rounds respectively.
Haryana’s Heena Kang won the Ladies category with a 74, 72 and 70 in the three rounds respectively, culminating to a score of 216. Heena secured also secured the second position from the A&B Girls and Ladies Combined category.
