Guntas Kaur Sandhu maintains lead in the second round of the IGU Gujarat Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2025, which is being held at the Kensville Golf Resort, Ahmedabad, from April 9 to April 11.
Despite having shot an even par score in the second round, overnight leader, Chandigarh golfer Guntas Kaur Sandhu maintained lead in the Overall Ladies & A&B category, A&B Girls combined, as well as in B Girls, with a second-round total of 2-under 142.
Haryana golfer Anvvi Dahhiya (71-77) and Karnataka golfer Saanvi Somu (74-74) played a difficult second round, but was still able to maintain consistency, and lay tied second in Overall Ladies & A&B Girls, as well as A&B Girls combined category, at a second-round total of 148.
Maharashtra golfer Aradhana Manikandan (74-77) scored a second-round total of 151, and lay fourth in Overall Ladies & A&B Girls, and in A&B Girls combined category.
Meanwhile, Haryana golfer Mehak Lohan (78-77) maintained a consistent performance and chased Guntas Kaur Sandhu. Scoring a total of 155, Mehak Lohan lay second in B Girls after the second round concluded.
A team of golfers including Karnataka’s Sanvi Avender Bandaru (78-79), Goa’s Rashi Mishra (79-78), and Rajasthan’s Shiksha Jain (79-78) lay tied third in B Girls with a second-round total of 157.
Meanwhile, overnight leader in C Girls, Rajasthan’s Ojaswini Saraswat (77-75) maintained a lead after the second round with a total of 152. Karnataka golfer Aida Thimmaiah (81-76) lay second in C Girls with a second-round total score of 157. Telangana golfer Bhavika Krishnan Unni (81-77) scored a second-round total of 158, and lay third in C Girls.
The third and final round of the IGU Gujarat Ladies and Junior Girls Championship 2025 is scheduled to be held tomorrow, on April 11.
