Guntas Kaur Sandhu takes lead after the second round of the IGU Eastern India Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2025, which is being held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, from May 7 to May 9.
Chandigarh golfer Guntas Kaur Sandhu shot a 2-under 68 in the second round after a 74 in the first round, and at a second-round total of 2-over 142, took lead in the Combined Ladies & A&B Girls category as well as in A&B Girls Combined category, and Category B Girls.
Overnight leader Delhi golfer Keya Badugu had a difficult second round. Scoring a 3-over 73 after an even par score of 70 in the first round, Badugu lay second in the Combined Ladies & A&B Girls category.
Delhi’s Smriti Bhargav hit a 2-over 72, after a 3-over 73 in the first round, and at a second-day total of 143, lay third in the Combined Ladies & A&B Girls category.
West Bengal golfer Anaahat Bindra (76-75) lay tied eighth with Haryana’s Anvvi Dahhiya (73-78), in the Combined Ladies & A&B Girls category at a second-round total of 151.
In A&B Girls Combined category, Punjab golfer Rabab Kahlon (75-74) pursued Guntas, and lay second at a second-round total of 149. Rabab lay second in B Girls as well.
Karnataka’s Ayushi Dutta (73-77) and Haryana’s Alysha Dutt (75-75) jointly lay third in A&B Girls Combined category at a second-round total score of 150.
Together, West Bengal’s Anaahat and Haryana’s Anvvi Dahhiya, lay tied fifth in the A&B Girls Combined category.
Goa’s Rashi (83-69) shot her personal best of 1-under 69 in the second round, and lay third in B Girls at a score of 152.
Meanwhile, overnight leader in C Girls, Rajasthan’s Ojaswini Saraswat (73-76) scored a second-round total of 149, and leads C Girls after the second round.
Delhi’s Dalisha Chetry (82-78) and Karnataka’s Aida Thimmaiah (79-81) followed Ojaswini, and lay tied second at second-day total score of 160.
Telangana golfer Bhavika Krishnan Unni (77-86) lay fourth in C Girls at a second-round total of 163.
