Guntas Kaur Sandhu wins the IGU Eastern India Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2025, that was being held at the Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, from May 7 to May 9.
Overnight leader Chandigarh’s Guntas Kaur Sandhu (74-68-73) shot a 3-over 73 in the final round, and at a total score of 5-over 215, won Combined Ladies & A&B Girls category, as well as A&B Girls Combined category and Category B Girls.
Delhi golfer Keya Badugu (70-73-78) finished second in Combined Ladies & A&B Category with a total of 221, and was followed by Tamil Nadu’s Ananthi Vivek (73-74-75), who finished third in the Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category with a total score of 222.
West Bengal golfer Anaahat Bindra (76-75-74) finished sixth in the Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category with a total score of 225.
Goa’s Rashi (83-69-71) chased Guntas and finished second in A&B Girls Combined category, as well as in category B Girls with a total score of 223, followed by Anaahat Bindra, who finished third in A&B Girls Combined category.
Maharashtra’s Jia Kardbhajne (80-76-76) finished third in category B Girls with a total score of 232.
Ojaswini Saraswat: Winner, C Girls
Meanwhile, overnight leader for two consecutive rounds, Rajasthan’s Ojaswini Saraswat (73-76-76) won C Girls at a total score of 225.
Delhi’s Dalisha Chetry (82-78-77) and Telangana’s Bhavika Unni Krishnan (77-86-77) finished second and third in C Girls at overall scores of 237 and 240 respectively.
