Harjai Milkha Singh wins the IGU Northern India Junior Boys Golf Championship 2025, which was being held at the Panchkula Golf Course, from August 19 to August 22.
The third round of the IGU Northern India Junior Boys Golf Championship 2025 was washed out due to inclement rainy weather and the round was called off due to heavy downpour. The fourth round continued on August 22 as scheduled.

Harjai Milkha Singh: Winner, A&B Boys
Overnight leader in A&B Boys, Haryana’s Harjai MIlkha Singh (70-67-70) had a difficult fourth round in which he shot a 1-over 70, following a 2-under 68 in the second round. On the other hand, Chandigarh’s Jaibir Singh Kang (70-68-69) shot an even par score of 69 in the fourth round, and tied with Harjai Milkha Singh at an even par final score of 207.
After an exciting play off, Harjai MIlkha Singh won Category A&B Boys.
Jaibir Singh Kang finished second in A&B Boys at a score of 207.
Punjab’s Danish Verma (72-68-68) maintained a consistent performance in the fourth round, shooting a 1-under 68., just like Haryana’s Samarpratap Singh (69-70-69). At an overall score of 1-over 208, Danish Verma and Samarpratap Singh jointly finished third in A&B Boys.
Chandigarh’s Krish Chawla (78-64-67) finished fifth in A&B Boys at an overall score of 209.

Jaibir Singh Kang: Winner and B Boys, and Runner Up in A&B Boys.
Jaibir Singh Kang also won the B Boys category, followed by Danish Verma, who finished second in B Boys. West Bengal’s Varish Mohta (76-72-74) finished third in B Boys jointly with Haryana’s Shaurya Dagar (73-73-76) and Maharashtra’s Aditya Misra (70-79-73), at an overall score of 222.

Varish Mohta: Tied Third in B Boys
Meanwhile, Varish Mohta finished tied thirteenth in A&B Boys, with a group of golfers, including Delhi’s Aditya MIsra (70-79-73), Vivaan Monga (78-70-74), and Haryana’s Shaurya Dagar (73-73-76).
Maharashtra’s Aman Oswal (78-76) won C Boys at an overall score of 154, followed by Punjab’s Sohraab Singh Talwar (78-77) and Delhi’s Dhruv Lamba (77-78), who jointly finished second at an overall score of 155. Maharashtra’s Vihaan Gajula (79-78) finished third in C Boys at an overall score of 157.
The prize distribution ceremony of the IGU Northern India Junior Boys Golf Championship 2025 was adorned by Mr. Harpuneet Singh Sandhu, Honourable Member, Governing Council, Indian Golf Union (IGU) and Chairman, Indian National Golf Team. The honourable Secretary of the Indian Golf Union (IGU), Mr. S.K Sharma was the Chief Guest of the prize distribution ceremony of the tournament.
Felicitating the winners and the runners up, and congratulating them on their performances, Mr. Sharma declared the launch of a new set of sports policies on the national level on National Sports Day and that these sports policies will benefit Indian golf a lot. He also said that National Sports Day will be celebrated nationwide from August 29 to August 31, commemorating the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand, referred to as the “Wizard of Hockey”.
Mr. Harpuneet Singh Sandhu, on the other hand, said, “We are going to launch a National Squad Camp, which will bring under one umbrella, all the top national golfers, and top coaches and mind coaches. This will help to be beneficial for many top golfers”.
