Haryana’s Harman Sachdeva, and Kartik Singh, and Karnataka’s Adit Veeramachaneni acquired triumph in the IGU Gujarat State Junior Boys Golf Championship 2024

The IGU Gujarat State Junior Boys Golf Championship 2024, that began on October 21 in the Kalhaar Blues nd Greens, had its ultimate round followed by a ceremonial wrap up on October 25. Throughout the four rounds, the budding golfers displayed the best of their skills and strategies to stand out than their competitors.

Haryana’s Harman Sachdeva from A Boys had a difficult start. In the first round, he was able to score a one under, as he trailed along. His performance changed significantly from the second round onwards, in which he scored an impressive five under 72, and maintained consistency of game and score even in the third round in which he scored a five under par.

Scoring one over 72 in the fourth round, Harman acquired a score of 11 under 288 and secured the position of the winner from A Boys. Harman also secured the second position from the A&B Boys combined category.

Haryana boys continued to display splendour in the IGU Gujarat State Junior Boys Golf Championship, as Haryana’s Kartik Singh from B Boys put up a splendid performance. Starting off the inaugural round with a three under 72, he scored a two under 72 on both the second and the third rounds respectively.

Bringing in some changes in his strategies, Kartik scored a seven under 72 in the fourth round, and with an overall of fourteen under 288, Kartik secured win from the B Boys and also from the A&B Boys combined category.

Contestants from the C Boys category played three rounds only. Adit Veeramachaneni of Karnataka started with a 75 in the first round. Though he trailed along in the second round with a 78, he improved his third round’s score by achieving a two under 72. Acquiring a cumulative of 223, Adit became the winner from the C Boys.

Meanwhile, starting off with a score of two under 72 in the first and the second rounds respectively, West Bengal’s Anshul Mishra gave a tough competition to Harman. In the third round, Anshul scored a level par and ended the fourth round with a three under par, thereby securing the second position from A Boys and third position from the A&B Boys combined category.

Starting off with four under 72, Karnataka’s Ishnidh Virdhi scored a two under 72 in the second round. However, he trailed along in the third round with an 80, but managed to score a one under par in the fourth round, which led to a cumulative score of 289, and Ishnidh acquired the third position in the A Boys.

Punjab’s Danish Verma gave a tough competition to Kartik. Inaugurating with a one under 72 in the first round, Danish scored a 72, 74 and 75 in the second, the third and the fourth rounds respectively, and with a 292, secured the second position from the B Boys.

Delhi’s Anas Khan scored a 77 in the first round, and went ahead to make a four under 72 in the second round. He further scored a 76 and 78 in the third and the fourth rounds respectively and with a cumulative score of 299.

Karnataka’s Aditya Tiwari from C Boys started off with 71, and went on to score a 77 and 76 in the second and the third rounds. With a 224, Aditya secured the position of the runner up. Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Vihaan Gajula (74-78-74) scored a 226 and secured the third position.

Great golfing performances were shown by Delhi’s Ranveer Mitroo (74-74-74-71), West Bengal’s Varish Mohta (78-70-79-81), and many other junior golfers of the country.
