The IGN Gladiators won the 7th Protouch Junior Skills League which was being held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club on June 6.
16 junior golfers, aging between nine and sixteen years participated in the 7th Protouch Junior Skills League, and the golfers were divided into 4 teams, namely:
i. IGN Gladiators: The IGN Gladiators were led by Aryaveer Agarwal, and consisted of Akshansh Modi, Aritra Mondal and Kabir Kalra.
ii. CFL Samurais: The CFL Samurais were led by Aarav Kajaria, and consisted of Atharv Bhatli, Aryaveer Surana and Shanaya Kajaria.
iii. Fairway Falcons: The Fairway Falcons were led by Aranyak Chakraborty, and consisted of Vaanyaa Rustagi, Shiven Kedia and Rishi Varshney.
iv. Protouch Tigers: The Protouch Tigers were led by Armaan Bhoopal, and consisted of Krishiv Rungta, Anika Shah and Aativeer Jain.
The IGN Gladiators, under the leadership of Aryaveer Agarwal, tied off for the first place with the CFL Samurais, led by Aarav Kajaria, which led to a play-off. The first play-off also resulted in both the teams tying off for the first place.
A second exciting play-off round followed, in which the captains of both the teams, played a sudden death round. ultimately, Aryaveer Agarwal shot closest to the pin, and the IGN Gladiators won.
CFL Samurais: Runner Up
The CFL Samurais finished second.
Fairway Falcons: Second Runner Up
The Fairway Falcons followed the CFL Samurais and finished third, followed by the Protouch Tigers, who finished fourth.
The day ended with the winning team cheering with their trophies. The Samurais, Falcons and Tigers also rejoiced, and cheered each other for the great golfing moments and camaraderie each one showed during the game.
