Tollygunge Club is all set to host the 14th edition of the IICP – Tollygunge Club Hope Cup, a unique charity golf tournament that blends the spirit of competition with a cause that matters. Scheduled to take place on January 24th and 25th, this highly anticipated event will witness over 300 players teeing off in the exciting Texas Scramble format.
The Hope Cup was the brainchild of David Panter, a passionate golfer and long-standing member of the Club, who envisioned the tournament as a way to harness the inclusive power of sports. His belief in combining fun with competition has played a pivotal role in raising much-needed funds for the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP).
IICP, now in its 51st year, is a pioneering NGO offering subsidized, multifaceted services for children and adults with disabilities. Since the inaugural tournament in 2012, when Mr. R.S. Bedi served as the President of Tollygunge Club, the Hope Cup has become a significant annual event, managed with professionalism and dedication by Protouch.
The Tollygunge Club has consistently supported this cause by generously providing its grounds, breakfast, and the venue for the grand prize distribution dinner. The tournament has grown into a vibrant gathering of nearly 300 players each year, demonstrating the compassion and generosity of the golfing fraternity.
As we approach this year’s event, we look forward to golfers and well-wishers coming together once again to celebrate sportsmanship, camaraderie, and kindness. The Hope Cup is not just about golf; it is a testament to the difference we can make when we unite for a greater purpose.
Join us for the 14th Hope Cup and be part of this extraordinary journey of hope and inclusion.
