The AVT Champions Tour, India’s premier competitive platform for senior amateur golfers, returns to the prestigious and very beautiful Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida, after a long while for the fourth and the ultimate event of the 2025-26 season. This season began with the AVT Champions Tour at KGA in June 2025. The upcoming event will take place from March 10-11, 2026, and has attracted over 115 players. It promises two days filled with spirited competition, camaraderie, and a celebration of golfing excellence. The Noida leg of the tournament promises quality golf and intense competition, featuring top players such as Gaurav Ghosh, David D’ Souza, Jehangir Tankariwala and defending champion Sandeep Sandhu. With the introduction of a new merit list system across various categories this season, players are eager to secure top positions as the season approaches its final two events.
This season marks the 100th anniversary of the A.V. Thomas group, which was established in 1925, making this season particularly special for The AVT Champions Tour. The AVT Champions Tour continues its legacy of honouring champions aged 50 and above. The Noida leg will be played over 36 holes in an individual stroke play format across two tournament rounds.
The rounds will have Individual Gross categories divided by age group:
a. 50-54 years
b. 55-59 years
c. 60-64 years
d. 65-69 years
e. 70+ years
f. Ladies category.
The Individual NETT categories will be split according to the handicap indexes.
i. 0-9 handicap
ii. 10-18 handicap
At the end of this season, the champion golfer of the year will be announced and the Champion golfers of each category will also be announced according to the Order of Merit.
