The 2024 APGC Junior Championship was hosted at the Manilla Southwoods Golf & Country Club – Legends, which commenced on September 4, and ended on September 6. The tour is an individual championship for boys and girls below the age of 17. Over 55 players, including boys and girls, took part in this three round championship, including junior golfers like Anshul Mishra, Ranveer Mitroo, Zara Anand, and Keerthana Rajeev Nair.

Anshul Mishra and Ranveer Mitroo put up exemplary performance. Mishra ended at the 9th, tying with New Zealand’s Coper Jayden Moore, and Mitroo ended tying at the 11th, along with Tsen Jac Nathan from Malaysia. After playing three rounds of par 72 each, Mishra scored a total of three over par at the end of the final round. He was able to putt I birdies at 7, 15 and 17 on the first round, 7 and 15 on the penultimate and at 2, 3, and 12 at the final round.

Ranveer Mitroo on the other hand scored a total of four under par after the third round. Mitroo began his first round by putting in a birdie at the very first hole, and then at 7 and 13. In the days hat followed, he scored another birdie at 14 on the second round and at 3, 4 and 6 on the final round.

Meanwhile, the girls too had put up a commendable performance. Zara Anand secured the 10th position, by putting in birdies at the 9, 13 and 14 on the first round followed by birdies at the 10th on the second and at the 3 on the final rounds respectively. This resulted in a total score of three over par at the end of the three rounds. Besides Zara, Keerthana Rajeev Nair finished the three rounds at the 20th with a total score of 228.

The winners and the runners up, Arianna Lau from Hong Kong, China (Winner: Girls), Soomin Oh from South Korea (First Runner Up: Girls), Mineso Jung from South Korea (Second Runner Up: Girls), Teerawut Boonseeor from Thailand (Winner: Boys), Seonghyeon An form South Korea (First Runner Up: Boys) and Siwakorn Kriangkrai  from Thailand (Second Runner Up: Boys) put up an exemplary show of skills and golfing prowess.

Arianna finished her third round with a total of 15 under par and secured the win from the Girls’ category, while Soomin and Mineso scored a 10 and 9 over par respectively in order to secure the position of the first and sceond runners up respectively from the Girls’ category. On the other hand, Teerawut from the Boys’ category scored a 10 under par at the end of the ultimate round and became the winner. He was followed by Seonghyeon and Siwakorn from the Boys’ category secured the second and the third positions with scores of 8 and 5 under par respectively.
