Kolkata, August 5, 2022: Suveer Kapoor of Kolkata won the ninth leg of the IGU Eastern India Amateur Golf Feeder Tour 2022, which was held at the Tollygunge Club on the 4th and 5th of August. His total score was 141, one over par, four strokes better than another Kolkata amateur, Sanu Das, who shot 145.
Suveer Kapoor had a remarkable day of golf at Tolly, as he was behind the leadergroup after round one, and he came back superbly with three birdies on the backnine. The tournament’s favourite, Hyderabad’s Abhishek Mitra, won the Mid Amateur championship with a score of eight over par 148, followed by Kolkata’s Amit Kumar Saraogi’s 163. Veteran golfer Ashit Luthra won both Senior and Super Senior with a score of 157, followed by Krishna Kant Shah’s 166 in senior section and Mithileshwar Jha’s 192 in super senior section. This leg the tournament saw two more categories under 13 and over 13 juniors, over 13 juniors was won by Dishan Ghosh’s 179, and under 13 junior was won by Aarav Ganguly’s 186, followed by Karmanye Mahajan’s 194. The Protouch Masters 2022 was sponsored by Medica (The Pricipal Sponsor), The Reliable Group, Equipped, and WOW Momo. The outdoor media partner was Balaji Ads.
