Krish Chawla emerges halfway leader in the IGU All India Junior Boys Golf Championship 2025, which is being held at the ITC Classic Golf and Country Club, from December 2 to 5.
Chandigarh’s Krish Chawla (69-68) shot a 4-under 68 in the second round, and at a two-day total of 7-under 137, leads A&B Boys Combined category.
Overnight leader in A&B Boys, Kanav Chauhan (66-72) had a difficult second round, in which he shot an even par score of 72, and at a two-day total of 6-under 138, lay second in A&B Boys Combined category.
Chandigarh’s Neil Jolly (70-69) had a better second round. Shooting a 3-under 69 in the second round, Neil lay third in A&B Boys Combined category, at a two-day total score of 5-under 139.
In Category B Boys, Danish Verma (72-70) from Punjab rose on the leaderboard, shooting a 2-under 70 in the second round, and at a two-day total of 2-under 142. Danish also lay tied fifth in the A&B Boys Combined category with a group of golfers including Delhi’s Anas Khan (71-71), and Uttar Pradesh golfer Jay Handa (71-71).
Meeanwhile, Haryana’s Aryan Pal (71-72), and overnight leader in B Boys, Delhi’s Sakshity Purendre (69-74) had a difficult second round, and at a two-day score of 1-under 143, Aryan and Sakshity lay tied second in category B Boys.
Haryana’s Jaibir Singh Kang (70-74) lay fourth in category B Boys at a two-day total of an even par of 144.
Meanwhile, the participants of category C Boys, who are scheduled to play a total of 54 holes over three consecutive rounds, played their opening round today. After the first round, Chandigarh golfer Zorawar Singh Sandhu shot a 4-under 68 to lead Category C Boys, followed by Uttar Pradesh’s Kabir Goyal and Haryana’s Shan Alvi, who shot a 3-under 69 and 1-under 71 to lay second and third in C Boys respectively.
