Delhi’s Lavanya Gupta and Goa’s Rashi Mishra lead after a superb opening round of the IGU Northern India Ladies & Junior Girls Championship, being played at Jaypee Greens, Wishtown, Noida, from August 12 to August 14.

Lavanya and Rashi shot a 3-under 67, and co-lead the Ladies & A&B Combined category, as well as the A&B Girls Combined category.

Delhi’s Ayesha Gupta, Haryana’s Prarthana Khanna, and Punjab’s Rabab Kahlon, lay tied third in the Ladies & A&B Combined category, as well as the A&B Combined category at a score of 2-under 68.

Rabab also lead Category B Girls at a score of 2-under 68, followed by Karnataka’s Rianca Thimmaiah, who lay second in B Girls at a score of 72. Rajasthan’s Shiksha Jain and Delhi’s Anushka Gupta jointly lay third in B Girls at a score of 73.

Meanwhile, in Category C Girls, Madhya Pradesh’s Teesta Singh Sikarwar, shot a 3-under 67 and leads her category, followed by Karnataka’s Aida Thimmaiah and Rajasthan’s Ojaswini Saraswat, who jointly lay second in C Girls, at a score of 71. Karnataka’s Isha AR lay fourth in C Girls at a score of 72.
