Mandaar Prashar of Haryana recorded five under par 67 at the Golmuri Glub in Jamshedpur, taking a one-shot lead over fellow Haryana native, Anant S Ahlawat, who shot 68 after the first round of the IGU Jharkhand Amateur Golf Championship 2022. Anshul Kabthiyal of Delhi shot 68 as well, tying him for second place with Ahlawat. Lt Col Shakti Singh of Rajashthan, Sachin Chauhan of Uttar Pradesh, Samridh Sen of West Bengal and Tushar Pannu of Haryana all shot 69 and were tied for fourth place. Shaurya Binu of Karnataka finished eighth after day one at Golmuri with a two-under-par 70.
