The second round of the 11th Tolly Ladies Open 2025, held at the Tollygunge Club on January 8, unfolded thrilling competition, camaraderie, and sportsmanship between a total of 124 golfers. This event brought together over 54 outstation golfers from states like Ambala, Hyderabad, Baroda, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and even Manchester, who displayed their skills across various handicap divisions.
The format for the second round of the Tolly Ladies Open 2025 was Individual Stableford. The tournament features matchups based on handicap divisions, fostering competitive spirit among players of similar skill levels.
In Division A (handicap 0-18), the best gross scorers after the second round were:
1. Mehak Lohan (H’cap 4) played a better second round with a 74, and at a second-round total gross score of 150, retained her position.
2. Mayali Kashyap (H’cap 4) played a better second round, scoring a 75, and with a second-round total gross score of 151, finished second.
3. Sonia Malhotra (H’cap 14) scored an 86, and with a second-round total gross score of 168, finished third.
In Division A (handicap 0-18), the best NETT scorers were:
1. Oona Khanna (H’cap 18) played an impressive second round, and ended the day with a 65. With a second-round total NETT score of 137, finished the second round with top scores.
2. Sheena Rawla (H’cap 18) finished second with a second-round total NETT score of 138.
3. Deepa Bagla (H’cap 17) and Sonia Malhotra (H’cap 14) tied third with a second-day total NETT score of 140.
After the second round, the best gross scorers in Division B (handicap 19-27), were:
1. Monisha Ajmera (H’cap 24) retained the top position with a total gross score of 188.
2. Rashmi Prasad (H’cap 25) and Harshedeep Kaur (H’cap 22) tied second with a total gross score of 189.
In Division B (handicap 19-27), the best NETT scorers were:
1. Rashmi Prasad (H’cap 25) with a total NETT score of 139.
2. Seema Madhusudanan (H’cap 27) and Monisha Ajmera (H’cap 24) tied second with a total NETT score of 140.
In Division C (handicap 28-36), the best gross scorers in the second round were:
1. Playing a better round Kiran Sharma (H’cap 28) scored a 92 in the second round, and with a total gross score of 198, topped the Division C.
2. Ritu Kala (H’cap 31) scored a total gross score of 201, and finished second.
3. Sri Lakshmi Tummala (H’cap 34) finished third with a second-round total gross score of 206.
In Division C (handicap 28-36), the best NETT scorers in the second round were:
1. Sri Lakshmi Tummala (H’cap 34) played a better second round, scoring a 66, and topped the Division C NETT category with a total score of 138.
2. Ritu Kala (H’cap 31) finished second with a total NETT score of 139.
3. Kiran Sharma (H’cap 28) finished third with a total NETT score of 142.
The third round of the 11th Tolly Ladies Open 2025 will be played in the Bogey format, on January 9, at the Tollygunge Club.
