The final round of the 11th Tolly Ladies Open 2025, held at the Tollygunge Club on January 9, concluded with thrilling competition, camaraderie, and sportsmanship between a total of 124 golfers. This event brought together over 54 outstation golfers from states like Ambala, Hyderabad, Baroda, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and even Manchester, who displayed their golfing skills across various handicap divisions.

The format for the third round of the Tolly Ladies Open 2025 was Bogey. The tournament featured matchups based on handicap divisions, fostering competitive spirit among players of similar skill levels.

In Division A (handicap 0-18), Oona Khanna (72-65-71) with a handicap of 18 won the Overall NETT category at a total score of 208.

Oona Khanna said, “It’s been three days of super weather. The course playing was so good and the pace of play was fantastic. Competing with some great golfers from all over the country just brought out my best”.

Sheena Rawla (67-71-74) with a handicap of 18 finished second in Division A, at a total Overall NETT score of 212, followed by Sonia Malhotra (68-72-76), with a handicap of 14, who finished third at a total Overall NETT score of 216.

In Division A (handicap 0-18), Mehak Lohan, with a handicap of 4, won the Overall Gross category with a total score of 221. Mayali Kashyap, with a handicap of 2 was Mehak’s strictest competitor. With a total Overall Gross score of 230, Mayali (76-75-79) finished second. Sonia Malhotra, with a handicap of 14, finished third with a total Overall Gross score of 258.

In Division B (handicap 19-27), Rashmi Prasad, with a handicap of 25, won the Overall NETT category and the Overall Gross category with a total NETT score of 206 and Overall Gross of 281 respectively.

Seema Madhusudanan, with a handicap of 27, finished second at a total Overall NETT score of 213. Mamta Bhargava and Rani Goenka, with handicaps of 26 and 23 respectively, finished tying third with a total Overall NETT score of 216.

Rani Goenka, with a handicap of 285, finished second with a total Overall Gross score of 258, followed by Harshdeep Kaur, who with a total Overall Gross score of 288, finished third in Division B.

In Division C (handicap 28-36), Ritu Kala, with a handicap of 31, won the Overall NETT and Overall Gross category with a total NETT score of 210, and Overall Gross score of 303.

In Division C, Sri Lakshmi Tummala, with a handicap of 34, finished second with Overall NETT score of 213. Kiran Sharma, with a handicap of 28, finished third with an Overall NETT score of 220.

Kiran Sharma also finished second in the Overall Gross category in Division C at a total Overall Gross score of 304. Rita Dogra, with a handicap of 28, finished third in the Division C Overall Gross category at a total score of 309.

Mehak Lohan, the winner of the Overall Gross category in Division A, said, “It was such an honor playing this prestigious event at my lovely home course, Tollygunge Club. I don’t know where to start. I am elated”.

Thanking the organizers, the Ladies Golf Union for the opportunity, Mehak also said, “I would like to thank The Tollygunge club, my home course, for hosting this event and helping me be what I am. A big thanks to the lovely ladies for supporting and encouraging me throughout. Mayali ma’am (the runner up in Division A in the Overall Gross category) was definitely hard to beat and I was very lucky to get to play with these amazing and experienced ladies over the three days. I thank my coach, Indrajit Bhalotia sir and Protouch Golf Academy for fostering me throughout. I am very excited to defend my title next year”. 

Shruti Goenka, the Tolly Ladies Captain of Golf, said, “Three days went off like a fairy tale. Congratulations to all the winners. Pulling off an event like this not possible without great support. I am thankful and grateful to all my sponsors, Tolly club and all my dear fellow LGU Members”.

Poorvi Ajmera, the Tolly Ladies Vice Captain of Golf, said, “We are very glad that the tournament has gone off very well. All the ladies from the Club, as well as the outstation players, thoroughly enjoyed playing on the beautiful course of Tolly. It was very well conducted by the Protouch team”.
