Shashank Sachin Gadre maintains his lead in the IGU Western India Junior Boys Championship, which is being held at the Poona Golf Club, from October 7 to October 10.
Overnight leader in A&B Boys, Maharashtra’s Shashank Sachin Gadre (68-71-72) had a difficult third round, in which he shot a 1-over 72. At a three-day total of 2-under 211, Shashank maintains lead in his category.
Chandigarh golfer Neil Jolly (77-71-67) shot his personal best in the tournament, a 4-under 67, and rose on the leaderboard, to follow Shashank and lay tied second in A&B Boys at a three-day total of 215, with Punjab golfer Danish Verma (68-65-72).
Chandigarh’s Harjai Milkha Singh (71-70-76) shot a 217, and lay fourth in A&B Boys.
Overnight leader in B Boys, Punjab’s Danish Verma maintains lead in his category, followed by Delhi’s Ayan Khan (74-77-74) and Sakashity Purandre (78-77-72), who lay second and third in B Boys at scores of 225 and 227 respectively.
The participants of C Boys played their second round today, on October 9. Punjab’s Sohrab Singh Talwar (75-71) leads C Boys at a two-day total of 146, followed by overnight leader Bengal golfer Arkaprovo Choudhury (73-74), and Maharashtra’s Vihaan Gajula (73-74), who lay tied second at a two-day total of 147.
Delhi’s Krishnav Gupta (77-74) lay fourth in C Boys at a two-day total of 151.
