The Royal Calcutta Golf Club hosted the RPGL Junior Skills League 2026 on December 20th and 21st, where four teams—RSH Blasters, Bogey Men, Pioneer Hustlers, and Keventer Eagle Eye—competed in a unique format designed to test precision and consistency across five skill challenges. Each participant from all four teams had three attempts per skill, with points awarded based on accuracy and execution.

The scoring system was as follows:
– 3-Feet Putt: 1 point for a successful putt
– Ring Chip: 3 points for landing inside the ring
– Basket Chip: 2 points for chipping into the basket
– Long Putt: 1 point if inside the circle, 3 points if holed
– Bunker Shot: 1 point for reaching the green, 2 points inside the circle, and 5 points for holing out

Day 1 followed a Round Robin league format. RSH Blasters dominated, winning both their matches to secure a direct place in the finals. Keventer Eagle Eye faltered with two losses, while Bogey Men and Pioneer Hustlers each won one match, setting up a do-or-die clash on Day 2.

On Day 2, the Bogey Men and the Pioneer Hustlers competed for the final spot in the championship. The Hustlers rose to the occasion, scoring 91 points across five skills, demonstrating consistency in putting, chipping, and bunker play. Their impressive performance secured them a place in the grand final against the Blasters.

The knockout stage featured a third-place match and the final. Keventer Eagle Eye claimed third place, while Pioneer Hustlers defeated RSH Blasters in the final to lift the rolling trophy as Bogey Men finished fourth.

Prizes included medals for the top three teams and RCGC Pro Shop vouchers worth ₹1000 for the winners, ₹750 for the runners-up, and ₹500 each for the third and fourth-placed teams. Individual brilliance was also recognised, with Andrew Baid and Arrham Jain tying on an aggregate of 17.75 points. Both received ₹1000 vouchers from the RCGC Pro Shop along with special prizes for their outstanding performances.

The RPGL Junior Skills League 2026 was a celebration of junior golf, blending competition with camaraderie. By rewarding precision in skills like putting, chipping, and bunker play, the event highlighted the depth of young talent at RCGC and set the stage for future champions to emerge.
