Ridhima Kapoor, a 10-year-old golfing sensation from Bengaluru, secured a runner-up finish at the recently concluded Taiwan Junior Open 2025, held from August 6 to 8 at the prestigious Miramar Golf Club in Linkou, Taipei.
The Taiwan Junior Open, organised jointly by GPAT and TIGA since 2011, is one of the most prestigious junior golf tournaments in South East Asia. Recognised by the R&A, WAGR, and the APJGA Elite Junior Tour, this year’s event attracted more than 150 top young golfers from 13 countries, sponsored by BAI CHEN.
Competing in the Girls D Category, Ridhima displayed exceptional skill and composure over three days, posting consistent rounds of 75 (+3), 75 (+3), and a final-day 72 (Even Par). Her performance included an extraordinary sequence of back-to-back birdie and eagle on holes 5 and 6, alongside a total of five birdies and one eagle across the tournament.
Ridhima first made waves in 2024 when she claimed victory at the Bali Indonesian Open in the Girls D category at New Kuta Golf Club, triumphing over strong contenders from Japan and Thailand. This latest achievement marks her second international podium finish in just two years.
