Rishab Singh from A Boys and Aradhana Manikandan from A Girl, along with Shamit Dakhane of Amateur Boys and Aditi Reddy Bobili from Amateur Girls clinched victory in the HGA South Zone Golf Championship 2024, held on October 9 and 10.
The HGA South Zone Golf Championship that commenced on October 9, at the HGA Hyderabad Golf Course, concluded on October 10and was testimony to great golfing moments. Shamit Dakhane from Amateur Boys ended the first round with two under 70, starting the first hole with an eagle. However, he trailed in the second and the final round, scoring one over. Shamit finished the final round with a total of one under 140 to win from his category.
Aditi Reddy Bobili concluded the first round with an 87, but had a more difficult performance in the second round which she concluded with a 92. This culminated into a total score of 179, leading to Aditi’s victory from Amateur Girls.
Rishab Singh from A Boys had a difficult start on the first round in which he scored a 78. He had a better second round, where he scored one over. This culminate into a total score of 149, leading Rishab to secure victory from his category.
Aradhana Manikandan from A Girls put up great efforts to play efficiently and maintained a score of 76 at the conclusion of the first and the second rounds respectively. With a total score of 152, she emerged victorious from the A Girls.
While Advay Bagla (80-76) and Divit Sridhar (78-78) tied at the first position from B Boys with a total score of 156, Vedansh Rao Thandra (83-75) and Anirvin Pinnelli (80-78) concluded the final round by putting up a tough competition against the winners of their category with a total score of 158 to secure the third position from the B Boys.
Sanvi Avender Bandaru from B Girls finished the first round with an 85, but played a better second round which she finished with a 78, thus securing a total of 163, thus emerging as the winner from B Girls. Sanvi’s toughest competitors were Kaavya Gogoi (87-89) and Motte Jerusha Zion (98-94) who secured the second and the third positions from B Girls with total scores of 176 and 192 respectively.
Saatvic Kumar Singh (79-77) emerged victorious from the C boys scoring a total of 156 at the end of the final round. Saatvic was chased by Vivaan Kapoor (76-82) and Vivaan Pinnapu Reddy (87-88) who secured the second and the third positions from the C Boys with total scores of 158 and 168 respectively.
On the other hand, Bhavika Krishnan Unni from C Girls played well to score an 85 consistently on both the rounds that fetched her a total of 170, leading her to win the first position from her category. Bhavika’s competitors were Sancia Sendill (83-89), and Anamitra Rautela (90-98) who secure the second and the third positions from C Girl with total scores of 172 and 188 respectively.
Vivaan Singh (86-80) from D Boys secured victory with a total score of 166. Vivaan Singh’s victory was followed by the wins of Aarav Mammen (102-98) and Harsit Raj Singh (101-101) who secured the second and the third positions from the D Boys with total scores of 200 and 202 respectively. While Samaira Handa (102-101) finished the final round with a total score of 203 to secure the winner’s position from D Girls, Indala Rachna Satsangi (109-104) won the second position with a total score of 213, and was followed by Anushree Kesavan (110-110) who won the third position with a total score of 220.
E Boys and E Girls played 9 holes on both the days. Aadvik Pandey (34-32) from E Boys scored a total of 66 at the end of the final round securing the champion’s position. Aadvik was chased by Aarav V. Atluru (37-36) and Neev Ram Reddy Kesireddy (44-34) who won the second and the third positions with total scores of 73 and 78 respectively.
Yana Dayal from E Girls scored a 52 and 30 in the first and the second rounds respectively and concluded the final round with a total score of 82 after playing 9 holes on two consecutive days and went on to become the winner from her category. Yana’s was chased by Samyuktha Vignesshh (59-46), who secured the second position from E Girls with a total score of 105.
In hot pursuit of Shamit was Vignesh Rangarao and Shayaaan Khadri who tied at the second position, and Kiran Muniyappa, who secured the third position from the Amateur Boys category with total scores of 144 and 1465 respectively.
Rishab was chased down by Nandigam Sriram and Adit Ahluwalia who secured the second and the third positions from A Boys with total scores of 150 and 151 respectively. Aradhana was chased by her competitors Manvi Singhania who secured the second position with a total score of 156 (81-75) and Amulya Guguloth (80-78) and Pihoo Chauhan (78-80) who tied at the third position, both securing a total score of 158.
