Sai Baba Sevashram & Yoga Research has expanded its flagship CSR initiative, Champion for Life, to Niphad Nasik through a new partnership with Riverside Golf Course. The program, powered by Protouch Sports, aims to develop underprivileged children through structured golf training and life skills education.

Approximately 300 children in the Niphad region will benefit from the initiative.
Champion for Life follows a proven three-tier development pathway that moves young participants from grassroots exposure to structured coaching and eventually high-performance training. The model focuses not only on technical development but also on discipline, self-awareness, fitness, nutrition, and mental conditioning. The talent hunt targets 10,000 children and pick 300 children to be further trained in the district of Nasik.

Over the past 15 years, the project has supported several junior golfers from disadvantaged backgrounds. Among its success stories is Tutul Ali, who represented India at the World Junior Golf Championship in the United States and won the All India Junior (U15) title. Multiple other supported players have consistently ranked among the top 10 nationally.

The Niphad expansion reinforces the project’s broader vision: to identify raw talent early, remove financial barriers by providing equipment and training support, and create a sustainable pathway toward competitive golf. In September 2024, a golf clinic was organised at the Riverside Golf Course with 100 underprivileged children from the area.

With Riverside Golf Course providing the platform and Protouch Sports powering implementation, the initiative aims to strengthen grassroots golf development in Maharashtra while shaping future champions both on and off the course.
