The 1st Edition of Satish Kumar Kapoor Memorial Amateur Open 2025, the 11th Leg of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour, will highlight young golf talent from India from November 26th to 27th at the Tollygunge Club. The event is organised in memory of Late Satish Kumar Kapoor.
The event will kick off with a practice round on November 25th, followed by a competitive tour for the Amateurs on the 26th and 27th. The golfers will compete in three official rounds that count towards the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) from November 26th to 28th.
Above 60 players will be participating in the tournament. The participants will compete in several different age groups:
1. Amateur Category (14-34 years)
2. Mid-Amateur Category (35-54 years)
3. Senior Category (55-64 years)
4. Super Senior Category (65 years and above)
5. Ladies
Mr Arjun Kapoor, son of the Late Mr Satish Kumar Kapoor, said, “My father, Mr Satish Kumar Kapoor, was a member of the Tollygunge Club for over fifty years, and the club was like a second home to him. My father was my first hero and my constant inspiration. This tournament is just a small way to keep his legacy alive and is a tribute to my dad. His children and grandchildren were his life, and he would be very pleased to see young golfers teeing off in his honour.”
