Hyderabad’s Sneha Singh and Bangalore’s Avani Prashanth have both successfully qualified for the LPGA Stage Two qualifiers. This marks Sneha’s second consecutive year advancing to this stage, while Avani also secured her spot with a strong performance.
Sneha Singh finished among the top 95 players out of 329 in the LPGA Pre Qualifier held in California. Competing across three prestigious golf courses—Dinah Shore, Indian Wells, and Arnold Palmer Course—Sneha shot a total score of 1 over par with rounds of 74, 72, 72, and 71 for a four-day total of 289. Despite missing out on Stage Three last year, Sneha is more focused and ready for this year’s challenges.
Avani Prashanth, hailing from Bangalore, finished tied for 22nd place with a total score of 282. She had an impressive performance with rounds of 69, 71, 74, and 68. Her strong showing ensured her advancement to the final stage.
Sneha Singh, who won the WGAI Order of Merit in 2023 and is currently ranked No. 2 in the WGAI Rankings for 2024, has also competed in events on the Thai LPGA, Taiwan LPGA, and the Ladies European Tour (LET).
The LPGA Stage Two will be held in October, just before the Hero Women’s Indian Open at DLF. Both Sneha and Avani are aiming to continue their impressive performances and make their mark on the LPGA tour.
