Nick Taylor (-9) and Kevin Roy (-9) held their lead after Round 2 of the 2026 Sony Open, each carding a 1-under 69 to stay atop the leaderboard. They’re now joined by Davis Riley (-9), who surged with a 6-under 64, S.H. Kim (-9) with a steady 2-under 68, and Adrien Dumont de Chassart (-9), who added a 3-under 67. The five-way tie sets up a tense weekend at Waiʻalae Country Club.

Just one stroke behind are Chris Gotterup (-8), Jeremy Parry (-8), Takumi Kanaya (-8), and Maverick McNealy (-8), with Kanaya and McNealy both climbing thanks to matching 4-under rounds. The international field remains strong, with contenders from Canada, South Korea, Belgium, Japan, and England all in the hunt.

At 7-under, Nick Dunlap (-7), Vincent Whaley (-7), Patrick Rodgers (-7), and Ryan Gerard (-7) are still within striking distance. Gerard’s 6-under 64 was one of the standout rounds of the day. Alex Smalley (-6), who started strong, cooled off with an even-par 70 and now sits just outside the top ten.

With the cut behind them and the leaderboard tightly packed, Round 3 promises high drama. Waiʻalae continues to reward precision and patience, and with five co-leaders, the tournament is wide open heading into the weekend.
