Syed Shayaan Khadri takes lead on the third round of the IGU Amateur National Qualifier I- 2026, which is being held at the Golmuri Golf Club, from February 10 to February 13.

Karnataka golfer Syed Shayaan Khadri (73-70-71) shot a 1-under 71 in the third round, followed by 2-under 70 on the second round. At a three-day score of 2-under 214, Shayaan made his move on the moving day to top the leaderboard.

Overnight leader Karnataka’s Akarsh Gowda (74-67-78) had a difficult third round in which he shot a 78 after an impressive top score of 5-under 67 at the second round. Akarsh currently lay second at a three-day total of 219.

Maharashtra’s Nikhil Pande (73-70-77) had a difficult third round as well in which he scored a 77, and at a three-day total of 220, lay third after the penultimate round.

Karnataka’s Himanshu Sadgun Sreedhara (72-70-80), who lead after the first round, trailed behind with a third round score of 80, and at a three-day total score of 222, lay fourth jointly with Karnataka’s Milind MG (79-71-72).

Sharing his experiences at the Golmuri Golf Club over the past three days, Shayaan said, “Very happy with the way I have played the last 3 days. I have been very consistent with my process on and off the course this week. All the work that I put in the off season seems to be paying off. I look forward to tomorrow and the whole amateur season for the rest of the year”.
