The BORBHAG Cup was instituted with the objective of encouraging the game of Golf in Northeast India – a region that possesses significant potential for golf, particularly when integrated with the economic potential including that driven by tourism and industrial development. The region has a large golf infrastructure, including courses in tea estates, and it is the organisers endeavour to bring visibility to these courses, encouraging partnerships for the game of golf and beyond.
