The prestigious Tolly Cup 2024, presented by Seiko, wrapped up on December 15 at the iconic Tollygunge Club. Known as one of India’s largest golf tournaments in terms of participation, this year’s event saw 450 participants competing over four days in the Team Nett Modified Strokeplay format.

The overall champions were the team of Govind Atwal, Shiv Mohan, Abhishek Sarda, and Gautam Prasad, who clinched the Tolly Cup with a total team score of 208. Their victory was celebrated with vouchers from Gianni Envouge Furniture. The runner-up team, comprising Karunesh Bajaj, Rizwan Sadique, Ajay Mishra, and Anoushka Dasgupta, finished close behind with a score of 211.

In the Best Gross Score category, the top team consisted of Gaurav Ghosh, Vedant Daga, Rohan Shroff, and Mayukh Ray, who posted a gross team score of 218. Individually, Mayukh Ray emerged with the best gross score of the tournament, carding one-over-par 71, while Karunesh Bajaj recorded the best nett score of 62. Among the ladies, Oona Khanna secured the best individual nett score with 70, and Hemant Vyas led the senior category with a nett score of 31.

The competition also featured division-specific honors:

  • Division A winners: Himanshu Jatia, Akshay Bajoria, Ishan Bajoria, and Karanbir Choudhary (Score: 218).
  • Division B winners: Varun Jhajharia, Abhishek Saraogi, Trishit Majumdar, and Ramanjit Goswami (Score: 217).
  • Division C winners: Piyish Jatia, Bipul Mittal, Gautam Jatia, and Vikash Agarwal (Score: 212).
  • Division D winners: Monisha Ajmera, Rashmi Prasad, Oona Khanna, and Kiran Sharma (Score: 222).

In the senior category, the winning team of Sabyasachi Hajara, Hemant Vyas, SK Paul, and MK Sicka scored 99, edging out the runner-up team of Capt Sanjiv Dhir, Capt PV Radhakrishnan, Deepak Tandon, and Suvamoy Saha, who scored 101.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Krishna Rai, General Manager of Seiko; PS Barman, President of the Tollygunge Club; and HS Bindra, Golf Captain of the Tollygunge Club. The title sponsor was Seiko & the tournament was co-sponsored by Kingfisher and Coca-Cola and managed by Protouch Sports.
