The Triangular Cup once again brought together three of Kolkata’s top golf clubs—Tollygunge Club, Royal Calcutta Golf Club, and Fort William Environmental Park & Training Area (FWEPTA)—for an exciting competition. Held at the FWEPTA Race Course, the event featured impressive performances and great sportsmanship.

The tournament is held three times a year, rotating between the clubs. Tough course conditions challenged players to stay focused and plan their shots carefully.

Tollygunge Club secured the team championship based on the 10 best NETT scores of each club, finishing with a total score of 714, displaying consistent play. Royal Calcutta Golf Club followed with a score of 722, while FWEPTA finished with 725.

Gaurav Ghosh, the Captain of the Royal Calcutta Golf Club won the Individual Gross category with a score of 77, while Yash Agarwalla was the Runner-Up in the Individual Gross with a score of 79 (CB 9). Harsh Kayan won the NETT Category title with a score of 65 (CB 9), edging out Pradip Bhaumik on countback. Gaurav Ghosh also made the most pars, and Lt Gen RC Srikant, AVSM, VSM, recorded the most birdies. Madhumita Das stood out as the Best Gross CLGC Player.

The Triangular Cup remains one of Kolkata’s key golf events, continuing its tradition of competitive spirit and camaraderie.

With this edition wrapped up, players now look forward to the next tournament, which is scheduled to be held in May 2025 at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club, eager for another chance to shine.
