Vani Kapoor clinched victory in the Leg 12 of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour that concluded on September 20. Above thirty five golfers showcased their skills in the prestigious event that was organized at the DLF Golf and Country Club, Gurugram, with four rounds of great golfing moments.

Vani ended the first round, tying at the fourth for a level par with Keerthana Rajeev. The second round, however, was difficult for Vani, as she maintained previous day’s position with four over at the end of the day. She put up a tough competition in the third round, and ended the third round with a level par, thus scoring a 220 to win the event. 

Hitashree Bakshi was in eager pursuit of Vani. Hitashree had an easy start on the first round which she finished at two under par, and she tied first at the end of the second round with Vidhatri Urs with a 75. However, she was capable in beating Vidhatri in the final round with a 75, and a total score equal to Vani’s. 

Vidhatri Urs, the winner of the previous three legs of the tour, started off in the first round with one under par, tying second with Lavanya Gupta. She managed to score a two over at the end of the second round with a 74, and ended the final round with a total score of 221.

Great performance was displayed by golfers like Keerthana Rajeev, Khushi Khanijau, Mannat Brar and Amandeep Drall, who finished at seventh, eighth, thirteenth, fourteenth positions respectively. 

The thrilling competition was a testament to great camaraderie and display of remarkable skills. The tour continues to elevate women’s golf, and promises a bright future for the women golfers of the country in the days to come.
