Vidhatri Urs completed a hat-trick of wins at the 11th leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour, that concluded on September 13, after three rounds of exciting golfing moments. Taking strategical care of the wet and soggy conditions of the Delhi Golf Course, Vidhatri managed to bag her third consecutive win with great resilience.
Starting off the first round with a birdie on the opening hole, Vidhatri ended her first round with a 5 under par, putting in several other birdies at 8, 12, 14, 16 and 17. She continued to play smart golf, challenging the adverse weather conditions on both the second and the third rounds. Though she teed off with a bogey on the opening hole of the second round, she immediately made up by scoring a birdie in the very next hole, followed by birdies on 5 and 7. On the final round, she parred the first seven holes to score a birdie on the eighth that culminated in a total score of eight under par.
In hot pursuit of Vidhatri, was Hitaashee Bakshi, who ended the finale with a two under par. Hitaashee,who finished the opening and the second round with two under par on each round, was in excellent form and a strong contender of the champion’s trophy. Tying at the fifth position with Seher Atwal on the first round, and with Hitaashee at the second position on the second, Sneha Singh attained the third position with a final score of one under par.
Over 30 top notch professional women golfers of the country demonstrated their strategical golfing skills in the soppy golf course. All the players were seen tackling the adverse weather conditions with great confidence. Vidhatri’s consistent excellency and prowess of her game is truly a testimony to her well deserved victory, that has now set her up as one of the top contenders in the game.
