Vinamra Anand maintains third round lead at the IGU Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship 2025, which is being held at the Chandigarh Golf Club, from February 24 to February 27.
A total of 100 players teed off on the first round, out of which a total number of 54 players qualified by making the cut, after the second round.
Overnight leader over two rounds, Uttar Pradesh golfer Vinamra Anand (69-67-73) played a difficult third round, in which he shot a 1-over 73, after a 3-under 69 and 5-under 67 in the first and second rounds respectively. Anand managed to maintain his lead even on the moving round at a three-day total score of 7-under 209, and headed into the final round of the IGU Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship 2026.
Uttar Pradesh golfer Kanav Chauhan (73-74-71) shot a 1-under 71 in the third round, and at a three-day score of 2-over 218, lay second.
Chandigarh’s Ram Singh Mann (75-73-71) also played a better third round, shooting a 1-under 71, and lay third after the third round at a three-day total score of 219.
Maharashtra’s Shamit Dakhane (78-70-72) lay fourth at a three-day total score of 220.
The top 54, that teed off today will now play the final round tomorrow, on February 27.
