September 6 was super exciting at the famous Cypress Point Golf Club, as the second and final day of the Walker Cup 2025 took place under sunny skies and strong winds from the Pacific. After an exciting first day, the pressure was on even more, and the Americans were ready to keep going strong.

Morning Foursomes: GB&I Fights Back

The second day began with four pairs matches, and GB&I came out swinging. Trying to recover from the previous day’s loss, the British and Irish team of Luke Poulter and Stuart Grehan put in a tough fight and managed to get a crucial win.

But the U. S. team stayed calm. Players like Ethan Fang and Michael La Sasso kept their winning streak alive, taking 3 out of 4 of the morning matches. The way the Americans played steadily and dealt with the challenging coastal conditions was key to extending their lead.

Singles: The Final Showdown

The day ended with 10 individual matches, which tested each player’s determination the most. At Cypress Point, the famous course design made players think carefully instead of just hitting the ball far.

Stewart Hagestad, always dependable, earned another point for the U. S., playing confidently like a pro. GB&I had some great moments too, especially Cameron Adam, who pulled off an impressive win under a lot of pressure.

However, the main message was clear: the American team’s depth, smart strategy, and calmness helped them take charge of the day.

Final Score:

USA 16 – GB&I 10
