Update News

News

The course received 3.25” of rain last night and after having assessed the golf course and consulted with our meteorologist and superintendent, the golf course is unplayable. Based on the weather forecast for the remainder of today and all-day Monday and Tuesday, it is highly unlikely that 36 holes could be completed to make it an official event.

As a result, the decision has been made to cancel the remainder of the tournament, with only player’s 18-hole score counting.

The tournament will be unofficial with no CME points awarded. More information about the purse distribution will come later today. For now, please know that our partners at Walmart and P&G have generously committed to pay out more than what’s required in the event of a tournament cancellation. In addition, they’ve also committed to ensuring every player receives compensation regardless of where they stand on the leaderboard after 18 holes of play.

We want to thank Walmart, P&G and Outlyr for the unwavering support and partnership over the last 19 years in NW Arkansas. We are looking forward to the 20th anniversary in 2026.

PURSE BREAKDOWN
With the cancellation of play at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, LPGA Tour officials announce that $2 million in prize money will be paid out from the tournament purse – above and beyond the obligated 50 percent per LPGA sanctioning.

$1.5 million (50 percent of the original purse) will be distributed under the standard LPGA purse distribution method to the top 65 and ties, based on Friday’s 18-hole results. The remaining $500,000 will be divided evenly among all 144 players in the field, with each receiving $3,500.

The LPGA is deeply grateful to Walmart, P&G, and tournament operator Outlyr for their generosity, their patience through the weather challenges, and their unwavering commitment to our players and the LPGA Tour—they continue to set the standard for what great partnership looks like.
