Shashank Sachin Gadre wins the IGU Western India Junior Boys Championship 2025, which was being held at the Poona Golf Club, from October 7 to October 10.

Shashank Sachin Gadre: Winner, A&B Boys.
Overnight leader in A&B Boys over two consecutive rounds, Maharashtra golfer Shashank Sachin Gadre (68-71-72-71) maintained consistency to shoot an even par score of 71 in the final round, and at an overall score of 2-under 282, won the IGU Western India Junior Boys Championship.
Chandigarh golfers Neil Jolly (77-71-67-69) and Harjai Milkha Singh (71-70-76-68) chased Shashank and at overall scores of an even par 284 and 1-over 285, finished second and third in A&B Boys respectively. In fact, Harjai Milkha Singh had a better performance in the fourth round, in which he shot a 3-under 68, his personal best in the tournament.

Danish Verma: Winner, B Boys.
Overnight leader in B Boys over three consecutive rounds, Punjab’s Danish Verma (68-75-72-71) played a better fourth round, shooting an even par score of 71, and at an overall score of 286, won category B Boys, and finished fourth in A&B Boys.
Delhi’s Sakashity Purendre (78-77-72-75) had a tough second round, but was in pursuit of Danish overnight., and finished second at an overall score of 302.
Haryana golfer Jaibir Singh Kang (73-77-78-75) and Delhi’s Ayan Khan (74-77-74-78) finished third jointly at an overall score of 303.

Arkaprovo Choudhury: Winner, C Boys.
The participants of C Boys played their third and final round today, on October 10. Bengal lad Arkaprovo Choudhury (73-74-72) finished the first round with the top score in C Boys, but had a difficult second round, in which he lay second. Finally, in the third round, he shot a 1-over 72, his personal best in the tournament, and at an overall score of 6-over 219, won C Boys.
Punjab golfer Sohraab Singh Talwar (75-71-74) was in close pursuit of Arkaprovo, and at an overall score of 220, finished second in C Boys. Though Maharashtra’s Vihaan Gajula (73-74-78) had a difficult third round, in which, he shot a 78, he managed to finish third in C Boys at an overall score of 225.
