The Mumbai leg of the AVT Champions Tour teed off with 103 senior golfers competing across six categories in a 36-hole strokeplay format. Day 1 saw tightly packed scorecards, standout individual performances, and spirited team play across the lush fairways of BPGC.

Overall Leader Parthive Sanghrajka

Overall
Parthive Sanghrajka from Category A led the field with a composed round of 72, carding 35 on the front nine and 37 on the back. He was closely followed by Avinash Deoskar (73) and Jehangir Tankariwala (73) in second, both of whom kept steady pace throughout the day.

Category A (Age 50–54)
Category A saw Parthive Sanghrajka emerge as the leader with his round-best 72. Avinash Deoskar followed in second with a solid 73, while Aditya Suklikar stayed in contention at third with a 77. Ashish Kapoor (78) at fourth and Venkatesh Sundaravadhanam (79) at fifth rounded out the top five.

Category B (Age 55–59)
Ajay Patel and John Wilcox shared the lead in Category B, both carding 77. Manav Prakash was just one stroke behind at third with a score of 78, while in fourth, Kush Sama posted a 79. The category remained competitive with Jaideep Bhattacharya and Sushant Malik both finishing at fifth with a total of 80.

Category C (Age 60–64)
Jehangir Tankariwala led Category C with a sharp 73, followed by a tie for second at 77 between David D’Souza, Pushpendra Rathore. At fourth, Col Kuldip Singh Sandhu ended the round carding at total of 78.

Category D (Age 65–69)
Alok Gole led Category D with an 83, while Dhananjay Date and Shyamal Mashruwala were locked in a tie for second at 84. Sanjeev Mehera followed in fourth with 85, and Satyaprasad M Keshavamurthy at fifth posted 86, rounding out the category.

Category E (Age 70+)
Gangesh Khaitan led the senior-most category with an impressive 81, followed by Vijay Kumar in second with a total of 82. Harvinder Dhillon scored 83 at third, and Anil Jule at fourth scoring 84.

Category L (Ladies)
Paromita Mukherjee led the Ladies division with a confident 78, followed by Sonia Malhotra in second with a total of 82. In third, Roopa Pratap posted 85, while Jayanthi Ravi in fifth rounded out the group with a total of 93.

Team Gross
Team 17, comprising Jehangir Tankariwala, David D’Souza, Paromita Mukherjee, and Sanjeev Mehera, led the Team Gross standings with a combined score of 228. Team 10 — Ajay Patel, Aditya Suklikar, John Wilcox, and Jaideep Bhattacharya — followed closely at 231.

Team Net
Team 10 also dominated the Team Net leaderboard with a score of 213. Teams 1, consisting of Anil Jule, Azad Singh Ruhail, Bhupender Singh and Rohit Kapoor and Team 17 were tied for second at 223, showcasing balanced performances across both gross and net formats.

Individual Net (Handicap 0–9)
Avinash Deoskar posted the best net score of the day with a 67. A three-way tie for second followed at 70 between Parthive Sanghrajka, Aditya Suklikar, and C S Grewal. Venkatesh Sundaravadhanam, John Wilcox, and Col Kuldip Singh Sandhu were all one stroke behind at 71, all tied for fifth.

Individual Net (Handicap 10–18)
Karthikeyan Krishnaswamy led the higher handicap bracket with a net 71. In second, Harvinder Dhillon and Sonia Malhotra were tied at 72, while Bhupender Singh followed with 73 in fourth. The category remained tightly packed, with several players within striking distance heading into Round 2.
