Etash Dutta clinches victory, while Bengal girls Nandini Rathee and Advika Agarwal shine bright over the two consecutive rounds of the North East Junior Masters 2025 – 12th Leg of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour, a key event on the Feeder Tour circuit, that brings together the finest junior golfers, not just from the North Eastern region, but also from all over the country.

The North East Junior Masters 2025 was being held at the scenic Rhino Environment Park & Training Area in Assam, from December 6 to 7.

Etash Dutta: Winner, A&B Boys. 

Among the 31 junior golfers that took part in the tournament, overnight leader Etash Dutta won category A&B Boys, playing a better second round.

Though overnight leader Paridhi Konwar had a difficult second round, she managed to win category B Girls.

Overnight leader, Bengal girl Nandini Rathee (85-83) played a better second round, and won category C Girls at a overall score of 168. Incidentally, Nandini scored the lowest in the overall junior category, as well as the junior girls category, who played eighteen holes.

Overnight leader Jaahnavi Baruah played a better second round to win category D Girls, followed by Duaa Singh, who finished second.

The participants of E Boys, E Girls, and F Boys & Girls played a total of eighteen holes over two consecutive rounds.

Jude Joe Varghese (56-56) maintained a consistent performance, and won category E Boys at an overall score of 112. Yuvaan Lohia (62-65) finished second in E Boys at an overall sore of 127.

Kolkata’s junior golfer Advika Agarwal (46-48) won category E Girls with an overall score of 96. Incidentally, Advika bagged the top most scores among all the junior golfers who played a total of eighteen holes over the two consecutive days.

Playing a better second round, Miraan Dwiz (60-57) won category F Boys & Girls at an overall score of 117.

Organised under the guidance of the BGA, the championship continues to strengthen its role in developing golf talent among junior golfers all over the country, especially in the North East.

Speaking about the event, Anil Bhargava, President, Bengal Golf Association (BGA), shared his appreciation for the continued support and growing participation, and said, “This tournament has opened the gates to the North East for Golf to take off in this region. Wishing all the best to all the winners and runners up”.

The North East Junior & Amateur Masters has grown steadily over the years, offering a competitive platform for young and emerging golfers. The event plays an important role in promoting structured junior and amateur participation, strengthening the Feeder Tour pathway, and inspiring new talent in the region.

The organisers look forward to another successful edition showcasing discipline, sportsmanship, and the rising standard of golf in the North East.
